Jessica DeCristofaro to be Honored at Lolly’s Locks’ 5th Annual DC Night of Fashion on May 18th

Lolly’s Locks, a nonprofit that provides high-quality wigs to economically disadvantaged cancer patients, is pleased to announce that Jessica DeCristofaro, author of Talk Cancer to Me, will be the Honored Guest & Speaker at Lolly’s Locks’ 5th Annual DC Night of Fashion on Thursday, May 18th at The Watergate Hotel.

Jessica Lynne DeCristofaro was twenty-eight when she was diagnosed with Stage IV B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After receiving her diagnosis and leaving the hospital, she found that no real guidebook for cancer sufferers existed. So she resolved to create one.

Starting a blog, Lymphoma Barbie, to chronicle her own cancer journey, she was so touched by people’s responses that she expanded her writings into a book.

DeCristofaro, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, lives in Miami, Florida, where she works as a pharmaceutical sales representative.

Lolly’s Locks’ 5th Annual DC Night of Fashion will include an open-bar cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a wig-centric fashion show. The wig-centric fashion show will feature the designs of Kate Pankoke, Kate Pankoke, luxury bridal & evening wear designer, founder of Elaya Vaughn, and Project Runway All Star. All proceeds from the event will benefit Lolly’s Locks’ wig recipients.
